Fractures

Based on ideas that relate to Proxemics, which is the study of the spatial separation individuals naturally maintain and how this separation relates to environmental and cultural factors. Focusing on our relationship with social media and digital devices, I am exploring through domestic iconography,
the breaking down of barriers between our private and public spaces, resulting in a fragmentation within our own daily interactions and lives. Borrowing
from the hexagonal shapes that are usually found in the decor of bathrooms and kitchens, I translated the original circular Proxemics model into my own hexagonal model.
