Voided Spaces
Using imagery from large fires, the drawings, though appearing to be meditative, are explorations into chaos and our ability to distance ourselves physically
and mentally, creating barriers, or voids, around us to function and to move within. They don’t completely lockout the chaos; they interact with it, absorb it,
and sometimes allow it to penetrate. The drawings are sculptural, “carving out” the imagery from the darkness of the graphite.
